A Visit to the Luang Prabang Orphanage School

Philip shared his experience with us about visiting the Luang Prabang Orphanage School when he travels to Northern Laos.

He takes a few hours out of his travel plans, and visits the market to buy daily needs items like soap, toothbrushes, etc. and then donates them to the children at the school.  He said the students are so grateful for the simplest things and appreciate any effort you can make to donate items to their school.

More about Khiri Reach from their site:

“Khiri Reach aims to help the disadvantaged in Thailand, Laos, Vietnam and Cambodia improve their living conditions in a sustainable way.

All our project center around local communities, which in this part of the world is the foundation of society. The threat of destruction of natural resources a real concern in Southeast Asia, and therefore conservation and a green and environment-friendly approach is an important part of the projects we start and contribute to.

Khiri Reach believes that small business is the way forward. By far the majority of the projects we support have sustainable tourism as common theme.”
