“Unforgettable holidays”….this is what Constance Hotels and Resorts aims to provide their guests. Constance Resorts is a hotel group that offers incredible luxury resorts, spas and golf courses throughout the Indian Ocean.
During our travels in the Seychelles, we stayed at two Constance Hotels on the Mahé and Praslin Islands and came home with wonderful memories. Now we are ready to go back and experience the other Constance Hotels in Mauritius, Maldives and Madagascar. You’ll find helpful information below about these award-winning resorts.
Mahé, Largest Island in the Seychelles
Constance Ephélia – A great place to stay for families, couples, or with friends, this 5-star luxury resort overlooks the Port Launay National Marine Park and offers a variety of activities from zip lining to rock climbing and snorkeling. General Manager, Philippe Guitton, introduces the resort to guests, “Lie back and relax in the serenity of your very own furnished terrace with stunning ocean views. Ephélia offers a treasure trove of discovery for divers and snorkelers at its resort’s beaches.”
There are 7 types of accommodation from the luxurious junior and senior suites to the super deluxe hillside villas. These villas are spacious with enough rooms to accommodate families. We stayed in the Family Villa, and loved our private lap pool, and spacious accommodations.
There are 5 restaurants to choose from and every meal was delicious! Visit Spa Village, and choose from a wide range of treatments in the privacy of your spa villa, private pool, and relax at the hammam, dry sauna, Jacuzzi.
We found lots to do and stayed active bicycling around the resort property, exploring the beaches, working out at the fully equipped gym, and even challenged ourselves to rock climb and zip line with onsite SMAC Adventures. There are more activities like tennis, squash, beach volleyball, and watersports to choose from. There’s a complimentary “Constance Kids’ Club” for children aged 4-11 years where they can enjoy a variety of activities.
Praslin, 2nd Largest Island in the Seychelles
Constance Lémuria – another family friendly resort set on the northwest side of the Praslin with three of the most beautiful sandy beaches in the world, including Anse Georgette. While dining at one of the resort’s world-class restaurants, Bruno Le Gac, General Manager, shares, “At Lémuria, guests can enjoy the elegant luxury of the spacious suites and villas with views over the Indian Ocean. We are here to help guests relax and indulge their passion for fine food, ultimate comfort and joyful excitement.”
The line-up of awards testify to this: Leading Hotel of the World – Voted 2012 Indian Ocean’s Leading Golf Resort (5th consecutive year), Seychelles’ Leading Spa Resort (2nd consecutive year), Seychelles’ Leading Resort (World Travel Awards).
From spacious villas, rooms, and fine dining at three world-class restaurants, with plenty to do – watersports or play the 18-hole golf championship course, guests enjoy their stay at this resort.
There are fully trained coordinators onsite at the Constance Kids’ Club who can take your children on trips to explore the island, or include them in culinary activities, scavenger hunts. Don’t check out without treating your senses at Spa de Constance and Shiseido Spa.

How to Get to the Seychelles?
Air Seychelles – We had a fantastic experience flying Air Seychelles and received Creole welcomes and excellent service. ‘Fly the Creole Spirit’ with Air Seychelles, the national airlines of the Republic of Seychelles since 1978. Air Seychelles flies to Mauritius, Johannesburg, Abu Dhabi and Hong Kong, and will be introducing new routes soon. They now are a Four Star airline rated by Skytrax.
After a short 5 hour flight on Air Seychelles from Johannesburg to Mahé, we found paradise in the Indian Ocean, the ultimate tropical escape, just off the east coast of Africa.
